The Worm WorX Collective.

The Worm WorX collective was founded to provide a market for the worm castings and vermicompost that a lot of worm farmers are out there producing as a hobby.  It seems like a very specific and narrow market but when we think about it, it is not.  It is the very foundation of our food system.  The work these people and their worms are doing leads to stronger soil, producing better plants, producing better food.

This is where it all begins.  This is the place where we begin the fight against all of the large scale growers and producers who are using petroleum based fertilizers.  In conjunction with Compost SC, they are creating a soil amendment that will be sold earning them and their worms some money, and creating amazing plants in the coming season and beyond.

The organization is simple.  Each grower just needs to be able to produce ten pounds of castings each month. As part of our group, we provide packaging and marketing for their products across the numerous states.  This way, they have a nationwide support system, but their product remains local to the buyer.  Buyers in Colorado for example, get products from sellers in Colorado. We simply act as the hub and the distributor.  Plus, they receive the support of a network of other growers who are there to help them build their business and their soil.

On top of all of this, we act as our own best customers by incorporating their products into our own products.  With our farms and our products we are creating a zero waste business model that is good for our bottom line and good for our planet.
